Don't just measure how your culture feels.

Understand why.

The Collective Culture Compass™ is a Canadian-built culture diagnostic tool designed by communicators, change and culture experts. It maps the real-life conditions shaping how your teams work, interact and communicate.

Perfect for organizations going through change, mergers, acquisitions or disengagement, the Compass is both simple and specific highlighting which areas of your culture you should protect and which areas you need to shape and give some love to.

Coupled with follow up listening labs and communication strategies, we quickly provide you with a roadmap developed by experts for where to go next.

DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?

The strategy made sense at the top.
It landed differently with your people.

"We have the engagement data.
We just don’t know where to go next."

"We planned the acquisition carefully. Blending cultures
was harder than we expected."

Most tools measure how people feel. The Collective Culture Compass™ uncovers the conditions underlying those feelings.

That’s the power of The Compass. Because once you understand the cause, you can act on it.

YOUR ORGANIZATION DOESN’T HAVE ONE CULTURE. IT HAS MANY.

Leader culture, employee culture, and sub-cultures across teams and locations don't all look the same, and that's okay. The question isn't how to make them identical. It's identifying where unity matters, and where differences are worth protecting.

Think of it this way:

Climate

What your culture feels like right now. You already know this. You feel it in the room.

Engagement

How people feel about working here. Your engagement survey measures this.

Culture

Why they feel that way. The policies, practices, behaviours, and structures producing the experience. This is what The Collective Culture Compass™ diagnoses.

The Compass was designed by communication professionals and organizational culture experts. Every question is anchored to observable behavioural conditions, not just attitudes or preferences.

We’ve designed the Compass like this because research shows that behaviour-anchored questions produce more reliable data. And because every question maps to a specific condition, every result points directly to something that can be shifted.

The Compass pairs AI with expert judgment. AI handles the analysis at speed and scale; our culture, strategy and communication experts interpret the results and shape the recommendations. Each does what it does best.

The Four Dimensions

The Compass measures and scores conditions across four dimensions with an undercurrent of communication throughout. Together, they give a complete picture of your organization's culture health.

Core

Do team members feel safe speaking up? Are they connected to the organization's purpose? Do they see the core values being lived or just promoted? Is there trust?

Clarity

Do people know the organization's priorities? Do they understand their role? Are they clear about how decisions are made and who decides what? Do they understand their own decision rights and what's expected of them?

Collaboration

Do meetings, processes, and information flow, help or hinder work getting done? Are the platforms in use allowing for collaboration and productivity? Or are barriers in the way?

Connection

Do team members feel welcome? Do they feel like they belong ? Can they count on their colleagues and leaders?

The Compass shows where experiences between roles, locations, and departments diverge and where the organization sits as a whole. Some differences are worth protecting and the others help you see where it’s worth focusing next
